What can I do to whip this badboy into shape, and fast?
He's generally a good dog, but he'll hump people who come into my place, and if he has a bone for example and I try to put my hand near it he'll growl, show his teeth and then... take a chunk out of your hand.. sometimes.

From the quick research I read
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vizsla They seem to be mild tempered and get along great with children. The age of your dog might be a small concern. Bringing a new born and paying more attention to the baby will make the dog curious, but from what I've read it shouldn't be a problem. Keep them separated at first and ease into smell and praise for both. Beautiful bread BTW.
