From a
total numbers of killed perspective you would be right of course but the population of the world is a tad bit larger today and the weaponry just a bit more sophisticated. Give the Romans the weaponry we have today and some ethnic groups wouldn't even exist.
Again , Iraq would probably be devoid of fighting age males and years ago would have been regulated to the history books if we were as brutal and violent as we were 200, 500 or 2,000 years ago.
As for a attending a history class in a Canadian school I have already been there and done that thanks. Last one was back in '95 or '96 @ Kwantlen college in Richmond, B.C. .
