Because Im new to the north american industry the few events I have attended so far are worth it,the reason is meeting someone on a one on one basis,chatting with them even if its only for a few minutes makes the connection of a name to a face as you mentioned before and can only help someone who works online stand a better chance of doing business together.
Would you prefer to do biz with a total stranger or someone that you have at least met once. ?
So yes attending a few expos or events is important and if it wasnt for networking I would have never met you doug
