If you could, everyone would sue in California because that state is so fucked up no one can even figure out HOW to file their answer and defense, much less actually win a case out there.

Fuck, I went to enforce a judgment against a spammer and could not get it enforced because they wouldn't answer the fucking door and the sheriff's deputy would not just tack it up and leave it there, she claimed she had to personally put it in their hand and got the judge to agree with that, judge refused to issue an writ of execution and send the sheriff back out to chain the doors. She was wrong and I knew it, but it was a $5,000 judgment and not worth the cost and hassle (oh, esp. the hassle aspect of it) of appealing the fucking thing.

Oh California, how I hate thee. Even worse than Tex-ass. Texas thinks it has jurisdiction over other the entire country under the long arm statute. So companies down there will sue you at home and get a judgment, then they try to come up to your local court with it and get it domesticated and start execution, so you have to spend lots of time getting the judgment thrown out and then they file it in another county within the same state where you have assets and the process begins again.

Texas and California are two states I'd gladly give back to Mexico.
Would be a really smart thing to do for the US considering how much money is arround theses states.
