Yes, I was expecting him to die I just didn't want him to! I wanted him to get to live and make it to meet all of the other survivors too. I'm not saying that I didn't enjoy the movie. I did. But as for the retribution, he didn't come up with the virus did he, that was Emma Thompson's character via her cancer cure? I'd just have been happier if he'd have protected the cure and survived too!.
