Been using this service for a couple of months now. I got tired of ordering Organic Beef online and having it FedEx Overnighted out of California to here because I could not find it locally and I did not want to make the round trip to go to the grocery a 100 mile adventure.
I decided a while ago that I was going to stop eating
CAFO Meats anymore - no matter what the cost. So I started paying to have it flown in three times a month. This is very expensive, since they have to pack it in dry ice and in special boxes. The shipping was costing more than the food itself, so I cut back my meat consumption and reduced shipments to once a month. Still not cost effective, so I began searching for other solutions.

The Oklahoma Food Cooperative.
Its sort of like a Sam's Club meets the Farmer's Market. Only without the corporate scams and tracking of your purchases. You pay an annual membership fee to cover the costs of operating the system. You place your orders with Oklahoma's farmers online. The farmers pack the orders and send them to the central warehouse in Oklahoma City, where volunteers take them out to the pickup sites, or deliver them to your home for a fee. You can get all your food this way, practically everything you need. Eggs, Meat, Veggies. The one thing missing is milk and cheese if you want to go the organic route.
Whats your new years resolution? Mine is to eat no more poisoned or molested food. If you have
one of these co-ops in your state or area, you should check it out. Its better food, better for the environment and better for your local economy. Fuck the big chains and all of their bullshit.
