And on a personal note. The theories of intelligent design and evolution are not necessarily at odds. And since none of us will ever know, what fucking difference does it make considering the issues facing the US in the very near future?

No clarification needed really. I posted a link to a video clip of him saying he didn't believe in it. People can watch it from the horse's mouth. I think that religious beliefs, and every belief, is a very important part of politics. I honestly would rather eat GWB's shit than vote for someone who thinks that dinosaurs are not true. I am unsure how any sane person could vote for a man who actually believes we are all descended from Adam and Eve and that the earth is 6,000 years old.
But, freedom of speech and voting is wonderful. You go and vote for the fairy-story guy if that's what you think is the right thing to do. I would defend to the DEATH your right to do that.
