I think the whole body replacment thing is a little flawed.. Even if you could create a copy of the entire contents of your brain and upload it to a machine the originals consciousness wouldnt be transferred and therefore to that subject personally its life/existance would still end. Which brings me onto Star Trek, who in the hell would use a transporter? The whole thing is based on the idea that your body is disintegrated and then using the info stored on computer it is recreated. Its not a teleporter, the originals users consciousness/life would cease to exist, and a new one with identical memories would be created to live until the next time it uses a transporter. The end result for the original user is the same... death.

just some random stoned observations ive made in the past on these issues lol.
