I'd say more like 2020 for the first real sex bots....maybe 2050 for the very first completely artificially intelligent (total human looking/response) bots.
However, he's not taking into account HUMAN altered neural networking, & the possibilites of simply using our brain to accomplish such tasks (even in "so called" real life). It's as simple as altering the data fed to our see/touch/feel.
I think "Jacking-In" will come before & replace the need for such companions.
Artificial Intelligence is one of my hobbies (ever since seeing Terminator 2) & this guy quoted is totally backwards.
Lets see....another quote thats obviously wrong....

I think everyone will have a sex robot IMO.

When a robot gets smart enough (has robotic neurons firing), at what point must we let them have their basic human rights?
