In case you're interested, this is why I'm asking:

If I'm sitting in traffic and the person 3 cars ahead of me is smoking, with their window up, I can still smell it.

I've had a cough for about a month now which makes me even more aware of the smokers around me, whether they are smoking at the time or not. While Christmas shopping, I encountered MANY people standing directly outside of the stores puffing away. As a non-smoker, I find this beyond rude and I can't help but wonder if the average smoker is oblivious to how their habit impacts people like me.

Just curious.
you say when you're sitting in your car, what's more harmful to peoples health, someone smoking outside a store or you driving past in your car spewing out exhaust emissions?

i know i'd prefer to be locked in a room with someone smoking as opposed to someone running a car engine. of course you choose to drive it's your choice, just as it is for smokers.
