Besides I bet he will work 10X harder now as well. SAME IS TRUE WITH NATS!!!!
Don't be afraid of the company that has screwed up be afraid of the company that hasn't. With all the damn people that use Nats I'm sure stuff is always going to come up but at least they have a strike against them which means they are under the radar which benefits nobody but us. Do you really think nats is going to let anything like this ever happen again after this mess.

That is a great bed time story but isn't pratical in real life. This isn't in reply to NATS in particular but in general... If someone fucks up, sure they are likely not to make THAT SAME mistake again, but there are millions of other mistakes they can make.
In your example the driver might make sure to always have a spare tire in the future but that doesnt mean he can forget to put money in the meter and have the limo towed, or run a red light that he missed because he was on his cell phone and they got in an accident, etc...
I would hope no one would make the same mistake twice but you are better off going with companies or people who don't make mistakes period. And if they do you have to really look at why the mistake happened and how negligent they were. It's a mentality, its procedures, its how you opperate your business, it's not as simple as saying " opps, now we know not to do that again".
