I wouldn't buy anything for a neighbor's kid period. Why give something when you don't have to? Only give when you are forced to, like close family or when you know the other person is going to give you something so you have to give something back. Keep ipod for yourself or give it to your nephews.
No one would think I'm a pedo because I'm female and I still wouldn't give anything to a neighbor's kid. If you only met her once too... You don't have to give her anything.
