west edmonton mall's latest security system implements the use of face recognition sofware. it also tracks the physical movement of each individual moving throughout the mall. if the computer determines that your movement patterns are suspicious it will log data regarding you size, location and movements throughout the mall, as well asa digital image of your face to compare to it's database of other suspicious suspects. this system has been in place for at least a couple years now.
it's only a matter of time before this type of thing becomes widespread...
