Be financially independent, as in you can take your business with you everywhere you go, or as in be retired in terms of wealth.
Never assume you can just move and you'll find a new job without problems if you have to rely on an employer.
Get some knowledge about where you move, but don't try to have it all totally planned out, as things always go a little different than you thought somehow anyways.
Be flexible!
Take at least 2 weeks off to go to your new location, get your papers done, get your apartment / house, get familiar with shopping places, etc. - when this is all set -and only then- go back home, pack whatever you feel like taking with you, close shop / last home etc. and get out to your new location where your new home is already waiting for you to move in.
Get used to not be stressed so much anymore

yeah, some places just have a different pace and depending where you came from you need to get used to this.
