I liked the kissing photo best.
My first thought is to not rely on screen captures, but instead to shoot with a decent DSLR instead for stills.
Also, here are some small tweaks of your first photo.
I am not a big fan of auto anything, but I will sometimes start with the auto functions in Photoshop or ImageReady.

3. Here is with 30 seconds of tweaking using the droppers for white, grey and black, and other slider adjustments. I also cropped the photo and removed the flash bounce back:
Invest in a good set of lights as soon as you can afford to.
