I don't have to win all the time, I go for the challenge.

One of my favorite races was at a run what ya brung drag strip they used to have out at Terminal Island.

There was a guy with a Harley dragster, the kind you need a special motor just to get it started. No one wanted to race him. I said "fuck it, I will race you." I was on my '86 Heritage complete with saddlebags and windshield.

I beat him off the line and actually held the lead until I missed a shift between 3rd and 4th, when he blew past me.

My girlfriend was in the pits and said people were blown away that I was holding my own against the guy. I went up to say good race to him, but he just scowled.
