I'll assume you didn't see his explanation and so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
I actually thought it was a hilarious peek at married life.
He said his wife would kill him for blowing $500-1000 on a glowing fur jacket. But if he got it "for free" she would have no reason to argue.
So in exchange for his sig, he asked for something that he couldn't buy for himself.
But whatever. I doubt he is losing sleep over your opinion of him.
