You know Ben? Nice guy, but I've seen him fuck up a gun or two. I've seen Glocks blow up, I've seen H&Ks blow up, I've seen 1911s blow up, the shit happens and it is almost always due to cheap or reloaded ammo.
It's true that the bigger the round, the higher likelyhood of a one shot stop will occur, but my main point is that if that larger round isn't confortable for an individual to accurately fire in a somewhat rapid succession, they shouldn't be carrying it. Personally, I don't care for the .40 round. I carry a 9mm but I also have a Kimber with I used for competitions.
I haven't shot in a match in a while though, new job doesn't allow for me to get out to Usery or south mountain in time, but I'm hoping to change that shortly and get back into it. Great practice for more realistic situations than shooting a paper.
