The better approach is to have the web servers (virtual hosts) completely spreadout with different registrars for domains, etc... if you were going to play that game...
So putting all domains on one IP for SEO is not a good idea, if you are playing the SEO game.
Getting one dedicated server and having lots of IPs on different class C is better
Having multiple servers at multiple ISP that have multiple class C/B as well as using multiple registrars is more hardcore SEO gaming.
