Localize things more, give more power to each person. If you don't like the state you're in, you move. States build their own identities based on their population and make laws based on their people.

The current system sucks. You have almost a 50/50 split in people and their beliefs. The difference between a person living in the urban Northeast and the Deep South is huge. Why should one be controlling the other? It's the reason why we are in the shit we are in.
