Whatever these idiots say here, there's no equal business relationship. Being a sex tourist in such countries amounts to exploitation. Supporting an economy can be done in lots of other ways.
Also, the claim that any Thai girl can be a prostitute is born in a delusional pervert's mind. The guy, again blinded by both idiocy and lust-coloured glasses doesn't realise his views are suffering severe selection bias. This is typical talk of arrogant nincompoops who see the world around them as their playground.
You must also be pretty incompetent of normal human interaction and insight if you can't judge for yourself if you can trust your "girlfriend". Damn.

While I know your heart is in the right place, you clearly don't have enough experience in the world to realize that is life. Somebody somewhere is always going to be exploited.
Who do you think made your shoes?
Who do you think made the chair you are sitting on?
How old was the person who made your t-shirt and in what country did she come from?
You know in many countries in Asia they start working in the factories at 13 years of age. What if a 13 year old girl working in horrible conditions made the very shirt you have on right now? Chances are she did.
Take a look around your house, look at the tags and the stickers and see where it's all made. Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Guam, Mexico, Philippines, China... most of it made in shit hole sweat shops exploiting cheap labor and sometimes children.
As a consumer you are just as guilty as the any sex tourist, so get off your high horse and deal with reality.
You, me, XXXjay and your mom... all guilty.
