Adult Webmastering 101: Using different words to say the same thing

This is part of my Adult Webmastering 101 tutorials that are aimed at new webmasters. The complete archive of my new webmaster tutorials can be found at my Adult Webmastering 101 blog that is located in the resource section of the Max Cash affiliate area.

====

In a previous tutorial, I spoke about making profits through learning to speak 'local speak' and using it in your copy to target search terms other webmasters may not think about.

This time around I am going to once again be focusing on the importance of language. As we all know, the English language is full of a vast collection of words and that can be used to help line a webmaster's pocket.

Take a couple moments and think about breasts. Yup, I know that is something most of us have to be forced to do. Now, just take a pen and paper and spend 30 seconds writing down all of the words or phrases you can come up with that mean 'breasts'.

Just off the top of my head I have - breasts, tits, knockers, boobs, boobies, hooters, melons, jugs (or juggs..see even the same words can be used in different ways), bosoms, bust, titties - and that was only about five seconds worth.

In just that short period you have made yourself a list of different terms you can use to all target the same niche or even the same set of pictures you are using. This is a simple technique that isn't at all limited just to breasts. Just about any type of porn you can think of can be described using any number of words that all mean the same thing. Heck, you can fuck, screw, shag, make love, pound, nail or shaft and it is pretty much the same thing.

So, now that you are in the mindset of thinking of different words with the same meanings, you need to think about what you can do with such a list.

The simple answer is to use as many of those terms that you can think of to 'corner the market' in your niche or niches. For example, lets say that you are making search engine pages - such as the One Page Wonders I have written about it the past - it doesn't take much effort at all to just switch up the terms and go after the traffic on those alternative phrases.

I still do a good amount of AVS work and I will make a lot of use out of alternative phrases when I am building AVS sites. As I said, this is a way for me to own my niches within the AVS system and also to pick up traffic in those niches from a bunch of different terms and then filter it all into one place.

You can use keyword search tools to help you get a better idea of which of your terms are the most popular but don't totally exclude those with lesser popularity because chances are there won't be as many other webmasters competing for that traffic. So, you can more or less have that traffic all to yourself even if it isn't in great numbers.

This is fairly basic stuff but a lot of people can find themselves stuck in their own way of thinking and that includes that phrases and words that they personally use. So, just taking a few moments to think of different ways to say the same thing can put you into the mind of the surfer you are trying to attract and therefore hopefully into his wallet.
