Michael Vick knowingly financed an illegal dog fighting operation. He was the prime promoter, if not the only promoter. In conjuction with his "partners", Vick killed dogs by various methods, including hanging and drowning. The actual dogfights also involved abuse of animals with the object of pandering to a base level of human intellect for profit.
