What I'm saying is that while I'm sure Obama's being black plays a part in Oprah's support of him (I'd think that anyone who supports the idea of racial equality would see the benefits of having a black President listed in our history books), I don't think it's the only reason.

Granted, I'm not an Obama supporter myself, but the guy seems eloquent enough... and a better choice (to me, at least) than others out there who reportedly have a larger following.

It can be both that he's black _and_ because "he's so great", as Az put in the original question... both what he is, and what he stands for... I fail to see where it has to be an either/or kinda thing.
