Written about this many times already on this forum. I was a devout PC user until 2 years ago when I bought my first MAC, a 17 Macbook Pro. Maxed out in ram. feature for feature it was actually cheaper than the only 2 laptops I could find that sorta equaled it, one from Dell and One from Sony. Even at the cheaper price, It offered more... the DVD burner was twice as fast... it had Usb2 firewire 400 AND 800. gigabit networking etc... Since I use Lacie Terabyte drives, having the Firewire 800 was a big deal to me.

I went into it with the mindset that if I needed to I could also install windows on the box and dual boot, or use a program like paralles to run windows directly inside of OS X. So no worry there.

Then Sprint came out with the express card for high speed net access. Which made it even better...

After releasing that I didn't need to run antivirus on the net anymore... I was even more impressed.

It took about a week to start feeling comfortable with OS X and really start to play with it hard. I loved it so much I bought a 20' Imac and loaded it up with 3 gigs of ram for my wife, And just recently bought a new Mac Mini that I use to control my entire entertainment system, DVD collection, Music Everything. And it's all controlled via my Iphone. I'm doing things on the Macs that I thought where only pipe dreams just a year ago.

I have CS3, Aperture, Dream weaver, Final Cut Pro, All running all the time, no worries... No crashes. All I can say is this... my remaining 3 PC's have not even been turned on in the last month.
