one goose, two geese, yes
one moose, two meese, NOT! the plural of moose is moose.
one mouse, two mice(animals)
one mouse, two mouses(thing)
one aviatrix, two aviatrices
one potato, two potatoes
amazing.
there was a poster ages ago that listed all the nouns for various animal groupings ie gaggle of geese, pride of lions, etc.
i haven't seen it in years but was always fascinated by english's ability to have a different word for everything..... eg a murder of crows is so much more descriptive than than a group of crows.
