Silly logic, the world is a lot different now compared to how it was in the 1300s. In the 1300s people didn't have adequate knowledge of the world outside them (no adequate mass-media, etc), or any working secular models in multiple nations. There is no reason we should excuse Muslims who still want to carry on like they have their head in the sand and want to live in the stone age and not respect human rights.
