Some mixed replies here but thanks to everyone for commenting (I'm Mark's business partner btw).
Obviously niche content like this doesn't appeal to everyone but I did find it surprising how few people seem to understand the potential of on-the-money niche sites. Yes, the pool of potential members is smaller, but there's also less competition (some of which don't understand the niche anyway so will be ignored by the majority of true fetishists). The guys out there with a true fetish are often rabid collectors who will join many sites within their niche.
If you've never promoted very specific fetishes before, I'd highly recommend it. Either promote something you're into yourself or do the research & find out what the fans are looking for, then drill it down to a handful of decent sites & go for it - you'll get more SE traffic using search terms that aren't so hotly contested, for example "blonde girls smoking" versus "blonde girls". Fetish surfers are looking for something very specific, so if you give it to them you're way more likely to make a sale - our conversion ratios on our tight fetish sites like this one are proof of that.
