Depends entirely on what the reason for the rating is and if it was my kid or someone elses. My kid is 4 and has liked watching me blast monsters since she was 2 and saw me playing Doom. She insisted on watching when I played. At least until towards the end when it got real bad. ]
But then again I talk to my kids about whether or not the stuff on the TV is real or not and she knows the difference between real and made up. Most kids these days are TV fed slugs with no glimmer of real intelligence.
