First off I'm not a fan of Muslims but I do understand the ideas behind many of their laws.
The reason women are required to dress the way they do is so men will view them for who they are and not as sex objects. (in a strange way it makes sense)
Women aren't allowed in public alone and not allowed in the presence of other males without a male relative. (now when a woman is raped while alone in a car with other men the "I told you so" mentality kicks in and the prevailing religious law's are enforced)
