psylocibin doe snot break down at temperatures under 100 degrees celsius. you can BOIL water and make tea and not completely deteriorate the psychoactive compounds. while preserving mushrooms i've been told 40 degrees celsius is the magic number to stay under. it's not THAT often you're gonna have natural sunlight or a furnace pumpin at over 40 degrees, unless you're in the peak of summer. i know people who dry mass amounts of wild picked shrooms on tarps in the sun, and those zoomers still send me flying off like crazy. i prefer to keep my own up on a screen to keep the airflow moving around them though. ithelps them dry out quicker. you may lose a tiny bit of potency this way, but it's nothing thats going to be all that noticeable. if you're looking for a quick fix, on a screen near a vent will probably still safely do the trick still.
