Our dogs like the snow surprisingly enough with the little amount of fur that they have. Only thing is the one of them has a nail that has split down the center, I think he did it himself because he bites his nails. So I can't really let him out in the yard until it is healed for fear of infection.
The first time they saw the snow when they were about 6 months old they were very cautious and curios as to what it was as well. From what I remember they also barked or growled at it.
Speaking of the snow in Toronto, my mom lives in northern Ontario on the north tip of Lake Superior. She said it started snowing a few days ago and that there is more snow there now than they had all of last winter. Which was one of the mildest winters they have had there in years.
As for global warming, well that`s just retarded, people always need something to worry about. Just because it is warmer one year than it was in the few previous years is just coincidental. Take for example the summer of 2006 was ridiculously warm, raining only once in a 6 week period then back to several more weeks of no rain. Then last summer (2007) it rained almost everyday. It has nothing to do with global warming it just happens to be warmer or colder at times. I could say that because last year on a certain day it was raining and this year on the same day it was not that it is global warming but that would just be retarded. It just so happens that some days are nicer than others for no particular reason at all.
I would honestly rather have it snow than rain though.
