would it be a huge money maker? i don't think so. semi- profitable side hobby? i'm hoping. i think i've got enough charisma and writing skills to at least capture a small audience, i just need to figure out the content side of it (and no, i'm not about stealing content...that's lame).

so, what do you guys think? am i too naive? i'm ready for the haters...i can handle the criticism.
Although maybe a bit harder to monetize than the average porn blog, it's certainly a niche that's good for some nice traffic and bookmarkers. There are a few blogs of girls witing an online diary/erotic stories with tremendous results...but target the mainstream audience, not the porn surfers. Porn surfers don't value really sophisticated and extensive writing, they are focussed on optical stimulation. If there is no porn on your site you are more likely to get links from places that would never link to any adult stuff. Make it interactive, a bit community style.

As far as money is concerned: I don't have any numbers for comparable sites, but I'd tend to day nice side income.

If you are in it for the money only: Build, build, build...throw enough shit at the wall see what sticks. It's not like you'll re-invent the wheel in adult.
