imo the real problem here is when very few but huge free sites allow webmasters to host their content on free isp webspace.
And no one comes here to say there is no connection with content stealing.
Why? People not even thinking about paying like .20-.30/gig for legitimate adult hosting, will they more likely pay for legitimate adult content ? NO.
More and more free sites are closing their doors to free non-adult isp hosted galleries, yet few but huge sites don't care about it, as once stating in some other gfy thread "as long as no one files an abuse complaint"...
As i once mentioned in detail on videosbaord, this problem (of content and bw stealing) can be solved at the very root of the adult free sites industry.
Simply with webmasters disallowing the listing of pix and movies content hosted on free ISPs webspace. (and yet again, no one comes with something like "maybe those people have a deal with hosting company - this is simply not true and ridiculous!").
Also, this way, webmasters will think twice if they want to submit stolen content on their own domain(s), since it makes them prone to higher legal risks. Simple, no ?
I'm not an adult biz veteran nore an expert yet, but i'm doing my work as legitimatelly and legally as it gets since two years now.
It pisses honest webmasters like us who see themselves falling in disadvantage when we invest thousands of dollars into legitimate bandwidth and content, while others get better listings with huge movies or high-res pictures hosted on unlegitimate bandwidth (simply check the TOS of those companies! they don't allow the hosting of pornographic files nore the hosting for commercial purposes! And there is no room for exceptions here! Which part can't be understood here? ) like aol, comcast, shaw, @home etc... without investing a dime in content nore bandwidth.
As long free sites allow webmasters to submit and host their stuff on free isps webspace, as long we won't get rid off those content and bandwidth thieves.
As long those sites owners don't show their respect to legitimate and honest webmasters who pay for their bandwidth and their content, as long those legit webmasters won't be able to compete with bandwidth and content stealers, because those thieves simply don't have those huge expenses! ;)
This post wasn't aimed to anyone personally, it's just some food for thought.
