just remember the hedge fund managers get a percentage of the money in the fund... usually like 10%.. so the bigger the fund the more they get and it doesnt matter whether a hedge fund makes money or not...

on a side note, alot of the hedge fund managers make enough money to be on the fortune list of billionairres and highest net worth individuals but they keep their earnings a secret and therefore are not on the list..
