Yes I have a rancher that has horses out here and he comes out every morning, early in the morning, to work. He has been doing that for over 10 years and will continue to do that, it's his job. He promised he would put out one huge bowl of food every morning for all the kitties and fill up their water bowl. He has 2 huge kitty bags of food right now. They have a horse hose on the ranch, which is what I call the hose that comes out of the ground in the middle of the field. So it?s nothing to fill up the water. Plus the kitties can drink from the horse?s water if all else fails and I have caught them doing that, even though they already had water. haha I even caught the rancher petting one of the kitties. I didn?t say anything to him but I thought it was sweet.
One huge bowl of food last them all day and night. When I go to refill the bowl in the morning there is still food in it, so that tells me they are eating enough. If I didn't think they would get fed I would remove them and take them to the city to find them homes one at a time, but they love being out here and they love each other. I don't think they would do well in someone?s house either. They are wild kitties that show affection, thanks to me, and before they were starving and unhealthy. Plus my nephews and their little friends go out and play football in the field and they play with the kitties all the time. My nephews will not be here for much longer, maybe a month, but their little friends will still ride their horses and bikes out to play in the fields and promised to make sure the kitties are safe. It's amazing to watch boys go from punching each other to holding a kitten. haha
A few strong kitty houses out there would be perfect for them to live happy kitty lives and be safe. I will be coming back to the house off and on through out the year and check on them. I just hate to leave them with nothing at all. So their kitty houses will be in the back in the bushes next to the horse field when I leave and if any other kitties come up they will get fixed and have food. I know out door kitties don't live that long, but I will make sure the kitty houses are used and if all the kitties disappear I will find someone to donate the houses too.
