:mad Dear Primus (Drama Letter Inside)

A copy of a letter I sent to home phone service provider Primus, names deleted to protect privacy (actually why do I care?). Main points bolded to help those that just skim posts:

Hi Mr. Xxxxxxx,

I thought I'd write to you directly as your name seems to appear on the bottom of each of the junk mail letters I've been receiving from you since I joined Primus. I don't know what marketing study showed that sending essentially the same offer to existing customers repeatedly, week after week after week, but at what point do you think I'm going to say "hey, that's a great idea!" if I haven't by now?

But that is only part of why am I writing: I just ignore your letters now. However, in light of what has happened with my home phone service this past week the offer I received today is an insult. I am now going on 8 days without home service, which, as I was told by a Support rep it was Bell's fault; Nevertheless, sending an offer to "bundle" services to customers who are in the midst of NO service is in very bad taste, to be polite.

I think it's a safe bet the mailer went out sometime this week, so your team should have been aware of the service situation but hey, can't stop the marketing machine even in times of crisis! While I'm sure others will certainly overlook your endless mailing and probably not notice the insult when they receive this one, I choose not to:

I will no longer be a Primus customer and it is the Marketing Department's fault.

P.S. This was an ironic quote you made, found while looking online for your e-mail address:
“Primus is committed to doing its part to reduce paper use and advance environmental restoration".
Now that is funny...

Regards
