(Being in Australia I don't have the luxury of being able to time arrivals... sometimes I receive cheques for two periods on the same day.)

That's my whole point really. Me being in Canada I've never stood by the mailbox looking at my watch ever for any particular cheque. I've had as many as 40 different sponsors to keep track of, no way in hell you can Keep tabs on all that when a few cheques are merely a week or two late here or there.
It's when the cheque is a month overdue that I usually start emailing, ICQ, and then a phone call. To date (nearly 10 years now) I have only had two sponsors screw me out of money, both are out of business now.
But in this case it's ccbill. I don't worry about them because they've always paid me, I know 100% that their cheque will arrive eventually. And frankly, to the person who mentioned it, my christmas shopping for this year (and probably next and the next after that) does not hinge on this or any other single sponsor cheque. If I had to (if it was really late) I would phone or message corvette directly about it.
