One thing to note -- the main French card is called Carte Bleue, but now that Carte Bleue is associated with Visa, lots of French have Carte Bleue Visas that they can use outside of France, including online.

The main issue at this point for boosting your French sales is to offer your store or services in the French language, and payments in euros. Definitely worth it if you're busting into Europe.
