Norway to ban bestiality
OSLO, Norway, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- An updated Norwegian law protecting animals from physical abuse includes a ban on sex with animals.
Terje Riis-Johansen, minister of agriculture and food, said that the Animal Protection Act would make bestiality a punishable offense, Aftenposten reported.
Live Kleveland of the Animal Welfare Alliance said a survey of veterinarians found that 20 percent of them have strongly suspected sexual abuse of animals on at least one occasion. She said the practice, once known mainly on farms, has spread to pets.

Children’s Rights
The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child safeguards the rights of children in various ways, stipulating that the authorities must seek to safeguard the best interests, survival and development of the child, protect children from discrimination and respect children’s views in matters that concern them directly. The Convention was ratified by Norway in 1991, and has now been ratified by 191 countries.
The law protecting children rights PRECEEDS the animals rights law...but not by much.
