This is true. The nature of man is what causes most atrocities. People seek religions that fit their needs and it appears that most have needs of blood sacrifice. Even if all religions were peaceful, there would be blood loving people anyhow. As it stands, they just have a place to go on Sundays (or Saturdays depending) and get their bloodlust fix. People will always hate each other I fear. Religions only give them a reason to justify it.
