"Get Rich Or Die Trying" 50 Cent's Album

This is honestly one of the best cd's I have ever purchased.

This is going to do down as a classic rap cd...
in an era when rap was fastly turning into bubble gum songs (artists were making soft rap songs just to appeal to the MTV crowd)

50 Cent keeps it street on this cd, none of that overdone duet shit with R&B artists.

I've been listening to 50's freestyles on various mixtapes/underground cd's for the past 4 months.

I don't claim to be a 50 expert but I know that I have info that you might care about

50 has been isn't a new rapper he's been doing songs since 97/98.

His first hit song was entitled "How To Rob" which was a funny song about sticking up the various rap and r&b artists who were popular at the time.

This song got some backlash from a few artists mentioned on the song, but this was NOT a beef song.

Fast Forward....

Ja Rule Gets robbed by someone from 50 Cent's hood.
a few weeks later, Ja Rule sees 50 Cent in the club talking to the same guy that that robbed him.

Words are exchanged

Fast Forward.....

At a release party for Ja Rules album, 50 Cent attempts to make peace with Ja Rule. Ja Rule makes a scene and gets loud with 50.
50 Cent boxes Ja Rule and takes his chain from him in the process.

Later that week....
50 Cent mails Ja Rule back his chain

Months Later....
5-6 People in Ja Rule's camp assault 50 cent in a recording studio. 50 sustains a collapsed lung and multiple lacerations

Months Later...
50 Cent is sitting in the back seat of a car in Jamaica Queens, and is caught by surprise by a gunman who shot him 9 times ( 1 shot was in the side of the jaw, 1 shot in the hand as 50 attempted to take the gun from the gunman, and the rest of the shots were in 50's lower body

Feb 6th
50 Cent releases on of the best rap cd's in the past 3-4 years.
And lyrically shits on Ja Rule in the process

Extra Info
50 stated that after the shooting he saw an opening for him to be dropped from his deal with Columbia Records by stating he couldn't perform do to his injuries.

50 Cent got $1,000,000 upfront for his latest record deal...
