As for guilt--7 girls have earned me the majority of the money I have made... and yes, it has been at a huge profit over what I spent on the content.
Part of this is contrasted against the girls I shot who did not make me money, or that I should have not shot in the first place but couldn't bail once I met them in person and saw the horror...
Of those 7, 2 girls were nightmares who can burn in hell. I am glad I got something out of it for going out of my way for both and to have to put up with their crap (they were rare exceptions to most I have shot)...
1 of the girls I shot 3 times, and actually offered her a percentage instead of a flat fee--she declined and made $500 total off 3 shoots... I am going to shoot her again soon if I can not look at her and feel bad that her % would have been a few times that.
1 is a great friend who I go out of my way to do nice things for, and help her with her endeavors including website programming... yet she makes bank from her gigs, and insists on paying me if she feels that our time is not a fair trade (I haven't paid her since our first shoot together).... needless to say, she is getting an excellent birthday gift from me this year.
The other 3 were cool girls who agreed to the fee and had a great time. 1 has asked me to help her with a site, which I gladly agreed to. 1 asked me to do some trade shoots with her for content, and the other I haven't heard from in a bit...
Now I have 54 or so other shoots that I haven't used yet... or they didn't get the reaction I wanted...
Also factor in the thousands of hours I've put into this... plus the flakes and other crap in dealing with models where shoots didn't work out.
And in many ways, no, I do not feel guilty. The point of business is profit, right?
I mean, if you work 40 hours a week for a boss at a set mimimum wage and the company makes millions off the workers' combined efforts--well, that is how our capitalistic system works...
But any girl who has worked with me will recall that I always prefer percentages over flat fees for the exact reason of cutting people in -- but no one ever takes them... in all honesty, I stand to make far more if they do not, but still toss the offer out there.
