i guess thats one weird interpretation of events. he didnt "create" a haven for extremists. it is a haven for extremists because its a weak state with a weak government that has little to no control over the state.
you don't have to be a genius to understand the three possibilities.
1) you ignore an unstable situation that could certainly ignite into war or even nuclear war
2) you ignore a weak government barely hanging on, the alternative to which is a radical islamic fundamentalist government
3) or ... like most of the world, you just do nothing, hope for hte best, offer hugs, bitch about what everyone else is doing and then get upset when some islamic nutjob launches nuclear weapons.
