In Australia in the 1970's a bomb went off outside the Hilton Hotel in Sydney killing a garbageman and injuring people. This was during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Coonference. A man (Tim Anderson ?) was convicted over this and sent to jail.
In the 1990s this man was released after an appeal found that he did not plant the bomb. The bomb was actually planted by the NSW Police Special Branch in consultation with ASIO (our version of the CIA). Special Branch and ASIO were supposed to "find" the bomb before it went off to justify their existance at a time Government was questioning whether the intelligence units should be scaled back or disbanded.
In this case people were harmed for beauracratic expediency. Don't try to tell me that the US system is any less able to commit such abhorrant acts against its own people.
Watergate, Contra and other such proven conspiracies demonstrate that agencies can take part in illegal and immoral acts for percieved collective gain.
The question does beg though, what about the "Watergates" that nobody has found out about or uncovered ?
I dont think the CIA orchestrated Sep 11. I do believe however that some things that have happened around the world are just a little too convenient.
