If you transfer a certain amount from USD to CDN per month, talk to your bank about a preferred rate. I use TDExchange and get a slightly-better-than-their-ripoff-rate. It's a minimal improvement but over time, if you launder - err, transfer - enough it makes a difference.

For those of you Canadians who are thinking of moving to, or buying property, in the US it's obviously a good time to do so. Since I don't I just change it all asap - the CDN is strong vs. just about any currency so it's a good investment if the CDN dollar stays strong.
