If you've been in this biz since the beginning like I have, you know who Steve Easton is, and APIC and their tactics for going after webmasters they believe don't have valid photo licenses.
Most every webmaster has had a run in with APIC at one time or another if you've been at this for a while, and their tactics are well known to be overly agressive, accusatory, and threatening beyond belief.
I had a problem once years back with Steve. I immediately disliked his approach and told him in no uncertain terms to be professional and not act like he owned the license for every adult pic on the Net. Some content I had bought it turned out was from a photographer who had bought the rights from another photographer and on like that. So there was some question as to who actually had the resell rights. I can't even recall how we settled it, but we did eventually figure it out and I got to keep my pics as is. I think I finally got him to realize that there were as many crooked photographers out there as there were webmasters and that often webmasters were innocent victims in the process of licensing.
There were rumors going around in the industry a few years back, that some of the big players were so sick of this guy they were going to take him out of the loop for good or at least give him a wake up call he would never forget. He tempered down a bit after he realized he was making a lot of enemies with the kind of guys you don't want as your enemies in this biz.
