Why don't you just admit that you were wrong - even if you weren't - its good customer service to do so since OBVIOUSLY your customer thinks you were not treating them properly, make it up with BA the honorable way by producing what he paid for and something a little more at no cost to show good intent and go on making money.

something more at no cost...are you kidding? After he caused all this, he should be the one telling me not to bother designing the other 5 banners. He's fucking my business over his original delays.
If you work at a garage...and have someone's car your working on and every day they tell you they're going to pay and they don't...do you keep on working on that car (after you're already half done)? Or do you work on other customers cars?
He had half the work, I had nothing...and he's owed $50 worth of banners.
