Check the food you were buying and any other stuff such as pet shampoo or any thing you gave him.
My mom's cats almost died because they bought some flea product from Pet Smart. The shit is from China and the vet said he's had numerous accounts of pet's dieing or almost dying from it.
Pet Smart is aware of the issue's but still sell these products.
