I don't give a rats ass about the history of the city. It was a shithole when they built it in the first place (does anyone know the history of the "quarters" in Louisiana??? If not, you should read up on them. Swampland kids.... who wants to live there???). If the American people really want a city right there, then why not build it in a logical place?
Great location for a harbor, great location for a resort.. shitty location for a city.
Again, why should the feds be on the hook for something where there is a perfectly acceptable commercial product available to you..... INSURANCE!!!!
Don't know about the rest of you (again), but just like with 9/11... why the hell did we give $1.5 million to each of the victims families???? Where did it say that tax dollars should be spent that way?.... When did we become such a freakin welfare state?
